We take our inspiration from Pope John Paul II
who had invited leaders of major world religions to come to
Assisi in Italy to pray together for peace.
It is this spirit of reverence for and hospitality towards
people of all faiths
that the SPIRIT OF ASSISI strives to be a
"presence" of peace and reconciliation
among all of God's children
in the Winston-Salem area of North Carolina.
